The particularity of translation of this genre results, in particular, from the two-level nature of the translational complex of the fictionalized reportage text. Its first element is realized at the level of the author - the reporter (the mediator between the culture they write about and their own culture), the second at the level of the translator (the mediator between the two cultures, variously represented in the text). On the basis of the analysis of the Slovak translations of the works The Emperor, Shah of Shahs and Imperiumwritten by Ryszard Kapuściński, the most prominent and best-known representative of the Polish school of reportage, we are looking for answers to the following questions:

What forms can transculturality acquire in translations of reportages?

Which of the cultures coming “into play” the translator chooses as determinative?

How is the translator identified in relation to these cultures?

To cite this article:
Račáková, Anita. 2022. The main objective was to find out how anxiety differs among interpreting trainees, recent graduates, and professional interpreters with shorter and longer experience. The research instrument used was the STAI – the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. The data indicated that the interpreting trainees and professional interpreters with both shorter and longer experience scored comparably on the X-1 form (state anxiety) and X-2 form (trait anxiety). The recent graduates differed substantially from the other groups, scoring much lower on both the state and trait anxiety measures. This could be due to the small group size, which could have caused skewing of the results. The majority of the groups were characterised by higher trait anxiety and lower state anxiety scores (the exception being the professional interpreters with longer experience, although the difference was minimal). In terms of gender, noticeable differences were only observed for the X-2 form, with females appearing more anxious than males. These findings, although they only apply to a small research sample, suggest a similarity between skilful interpreting trainees and professional interpreters.

To cite this article:
Melicherčíková, Miroslava. 2022. Butor. The focus, in particular, is on the numerous Slovak prefix equivalents of these French non-prefixed verbs. The main goal is the analysis of their meanings. We will observe how the prefix, in addition to changing the imperfect form into the perfect one, modifies the meaning of the basic verb of perception and thus fulfils its lexical-perfective function. We assume that most of the initial non-prefixed verbs in the French source language will be in the compound past tense - passé composé. The partial goal of the research is to find out which prefixes are the most productive in terms of verbal word formation by prefixing. We have found out that in the majority of cases, the prefix not only fulfils a grammatical function, but also has a lexical function that significantly modifies the meaning of the basic non-prefixed verb. For example, it enriches the verb with the meanings of the beginning of the action.

To cite this article:
Ráčková, Lucia. 2022. Coleridge's desire for a unified subjectivity lulls him into the dream of a bright future for his son, while the only ethical thing for him to do, from the psychoanalytical point of view, is to accept the split and, having traversed the fantasy and subjectified the cause of this split, to take responsibility for his unconscious mind. It is no wonder, then, that the poem begins and ends with the description of “frost’s secret ministry”; after all, the endless pursuit of desire qua the Other in search of a lost object which would complete the puzzle of one’s life is no pursuit at all; the act of moving in a circle of course means there is no actual movement or change in location.

To cite this article:
Alizadeh, Ghisuddin et al. 2022.
